Basic sewing knowledge and some experience recommended. Bring your curiosity and a dash of courage!
Step-by-step, soak in & apply beginning sewing machine skills before we introduce our camp project! Discover new life-long sewing skills to create a one-of-a-kind, masterpiece of your very own.
Have fun with camp-inspired activities while learning a valuable and fun life skill!
All machines and materials included. Ice cream, fabric races, sewing raps and laughs, too.

DAY 1: MONDAY, JuNE 23
9am - 12pm/ 'Sew can i"… set up my sewing machine, thread the machine, sew 1st stitches?
Day 2: Tuesday, JUNE 24
9am - 12pm/ 'sew can i"… independently sew (start, sew straight, curves & stop) / Sew seams?
Day 3: wed, juNE 25
9am - 12pm / ‘sew can i’…read a pattern and measure/cut pattern pieces? mix & match colors and fabrics?
Day 4: thurs, juNE 26
9am - 12pm/ ‘sew can i’ assemble pieces of fabric to make my own masterpiece?
day 5: FRI, June 27
9am - 12pm/ ‘sew can i’ use my skills to add more features & my own signature style (invent something new- that's ‘you’!)?
BONUS: 11:15- 12pm / camp cLOSING AWARDS CEREMONY- (families invited to join)

Sewing is a an adventure, opening an entire whole world of color, design, imagination, inventing & fun up to you! It boosts your brain power, problem-solving and creativity… sewing is literally a superpower!
Sewing allows you take that awesome idea you dreamed up (a throw pillow that becomes an instant weekender bag?)… and stitch it up to be! And how about mend that much-loved piece instead of throwing it out…and make something that was just “OK” into something sensational and one-of-a-kind for you. Whew!
There's so much more. But for now, I want to get to know you - and tell you a bit about me and how Sew Your Adventure™ came to be!

Hi, I'm Laura, your fabric-loving, you-got-this Sewing Trail Guide. I'm the Creative Director of Sew Your Adventure™, where beginning Sewists start strong with their sewing adventure in the THE most inspiring, inviting, & exciting way.
As a creative & curious kid, I loved to investigate, to tinker, to try skills that were new. Does that sounds like you?
I started sewing as a child with my grandma, however rediscovered my love for the art after getting waist-high into adulthood and realizing that this "childhood hobby" was just what my mind and soul needed.
Now 15 years later (and 6 years deep into Sewing Education) I am here to serve new Sewists - to guide them as they start to sew in the THE most inspiring, start-simple and have fun along the way.
Equipped with a MA in Curriculum & Instruction and 2 decades of teaching experience, my favorite 6 years have been the last. I'm on journey to build out a Sew Education program that is unlike any other.
As a both a skilled designer and educator, I believe that learning new skills can be rewarding, confidence-building, and FUN. I believe that learning is done best alongside laughter and each other. And that is why I'm here - and how Sew Your Adventure™ came to be!
